We have 2 boats and will use the best one to suit your group size and fishing preferences. Mad-Mundi is our main boat, a 5.2m full custom aluminium sport fishing vessel, built locally by Ocean Blue Boats in 2020. Powered by a 60hp Mercury engine, with full Humminbird electronics and Minn Kota electric motor. Maximum capacity of 3 guests. While Eco-Mundi is a later model 4.4m custom craft, designed and built for sport fishing. Powered by a 40hp Yamaha engine. Maximum capacity of 2 guests. There is a set price for our Daintree River fishing charters, which are fully guided by a local expert and make sure you book in advance to get the dates and times you want. The Daintree River is an iconic name and fishing location. The areas we fish are determined by the time of year, tides and weather.
During the wet season (December to April) we fish a lot more in the fresh water region, this can be the best time to catch good numbers of Barramundi. Later in the year, we start fishing the brackish and salt regions, fishing flats, mangrove edges and snags, depending on the species targeted.
In the winter months it can be great fun targeting Trevally and Queenfish on surface lures, these are excellent sport fish.
Fish Hunter FNQ provides sole fishing charters to the Daintree River, catering to a maximum of three people. This means personalised service and fishing for your preferences.
Our boat is a customised sportfishing machine. It’s got the latest fish finding equipment, as well as plenty of quality tackle and equipment. We cater to lure and fly fishing, for guests with lots or little experience.

If cancelled less than 7 days prior to departure, a 100% cancellation fee will apply. A surcharge applies for credit card payments.
All fishing gear is supplied on a replace if lost or damaged basis. You’re also welcome to bring your own gear, if you prefer.
Feel free to bring along a couple of canned beers, but no more than a 6 pack please. We’re here to catch fish, not a hangover.
